New requirements for food business come into force this month

As the country with one of the strongest food safety systems in the world, Canada brought the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) into effect in January 15th, 2019.

The Safe food for Canadians Regulations will focus on prevention and allowing to help faster removal of unsafe food from the marketplace. Under these regulations, new license from Canadian Food Inspection Agency will he needed for all food producers and processors.
